Collaborations

 

Residenze Erranti collaborates with various international organisations, intending to expand the guitar community and connect young musicians with opportunities.

To date, Residenze Collaborates with three important institutions: TU Dublin Conservatoire, Volterra Project Summer Guitar Institute and TouchTheSound Project.

Volterra Project Summer Guitar Institute

 

Residenze Erranti collaborates with the Volterra Project Summer Guitar Institute, a pioneer organization with which we share a common mission and educational goals. The terms of this collaboration involve the participation of each respective artist in the activities of the other institution.

One Residenze Erranti participant will be invited to join the Volterra Project (https://www.volterraguitar.org/) for two full days of immersive experience, and will be offered:

  • Two physiology classes to promote physical awareness and well-being.
  • Two technique workout sessions tailored to enhance technical proficiency.
  • One “Business of Music” session to explore career development.
  • Participations to group seminars on diverse topics.
  • Attendance to all masterclasses as an auditor.
  • The opportunity of opening the Volterra Project participants’ concert, either at the historic Palazzo dei Priori in Volterra or on the workshop premises’ at Agriturismo Inghirami.
  • Participants in the exchange program will be hosted on the Volterra Project premises and will be invited to share meals with the Volterra Project community at no additional cost.

One Volterra Project Artist will be invited to join the Residenze Erranti programme during the XVII Festival Corde d’Autunno, November 14-16, and will be offered: 

  • Free access to all activities at the Festival Corde D’Autunno for three days, including workshops, round tables, conferences, concerts, meetings with luthiers..
  • Attendance to all masterclasses as an auditor.
  • One individual supervision/masterclass with one of the invited artists.
  • Public performance/presentation of the participant’s project, alongside the other Residenze Erranti participants, during the three-day event.
  • Accommodation provided for the participant throughout the festival.

Meals are the responsibility of the participant, as with all Residenze Erranti artists.

TU Dublin Conservatoire

 

We organise annual online meetings with professors and scholars from TU Dublin Conservatoire, through which seminars on artistic research are organized.

TouchTheSound Project

 

This unique independent organisation offers invaluable support to some of the artistic projects of the Residenze Erranti programme. TouchTheSound provides consultancy on the use of historical guitars related to the repertoire proposed by the artists and guides them in approaching unique period instruments.
