Eco di Voci, Suoni di Corde

“Eco di voci, suoni di corde” is a project that weaves together the historical classical guitar and the spoken voice, creating an expressive bridge between past and present. The starting point is the Orange Sonata sentimentale op. 2 by Ferdinando Carulli, a 19th-century example of “program music,” where the text guides the listener, but it is the music that conveys the true emotion.

The project engages in dialogue with the contemporary world through a collaboration with composer Alessandro Guarneri and other artists, who will create new works for period instruments and reciting voice.

The aim is to revive and reimagine an ancient yet timeless genre, echoing the tradition of medieval minstrels and storytellers—art forms that captivated audiences with their immediacy and emotional depth. This is a language that fuses words and sound, offering listeners a rich, evocative, and accessible experience.
