L’artigianato e le abilità manuali, sono delle attitudini innate chemi sono portato dentro da sempre,
mio nonno paterno poteva fare qualsiasi cosa con le sue mani e fin da bambino mi piaceva vederlo costruire sedie o lavorare il ferro e saper usare la sua “arte dell’ arrangiarsi” per fare cose utili allavita di tutti i giorni.
A 15 anni la sua eredità si è manifestata dapprimanell’apprensione della chitarra da autodidatta e a 18 è sfociata neiprimi passi mossi all’ingresso di quel mondo vasto e sconfinatoche si chiama liuteria.
Difficile descrivere la sensazione che provai quando ebbi la consapevolezza del passo irreversibile che feci costruendo la miaprima chitarra, una delle tante parole può essere ricchezza,
per avere trovato un obbiettivo e per aver raccolto una scommessacon la vita..
La mia idea di strumento vuole seguire quella originale dei primigrandi maestri della chitarra moderna.
Inseguo il suono puro e mai forzato, quello che viene generatoagevolmente da uno strumento di costruzione leggera e rilassatanel rispetto del legno e della sua naturale instabilità.
Ricerco la bellezza estetica dei miei strumenti e il buongusto negliaccostamenti cromatici e stilistici tentando di dare sempre unachiara impronta personale.
Attualmente I modelli storici a cui faccio riferimento sono;
la Torres FE 14 1862 anche detta chitarra di cartone
e la chitarra Pietro Gallinotti con forma e misure Julian Gomez Ramirez anni ’30.

Craftsmanship and manual work have been among my innate inclinations since I was a child.
My grandfather could do anything with his hands and I liked to watch him build chairs or cast iron, knowing how to use his “art of make do” to create useful things for everyday life.
When I was fifteen his heritage could be seen in the way I learned to play guitar as a self-taught. At eighteen years old, with the same passion, I moved my first steps as a luthier and I discovered a new immense world.
It is very hard to describe what I felt when I realised that, building my first guitar, I was stepping irreversibly in a new direction. The first word that comes to my mind is “richness”. Finding a new aim and taking a new challenge in life enriched me very much.
My idea of instrument follows the original path of the great masters of modern guitar.
I pursue a pure, never forced, sound: the one that is easily produced by a light construction, with a respect for wood and for his natural fragility.
Building my instruments, I look for aesthetic beauty and good taste in chromatic combinations, always trying to show mypersonal style.
My historical reference models are:
Torres’s FE 1862, also know as “cardboard guitar”
And Pietro Gallinotti’s model inspired by Julian Gomez Ramirez’s one from the 30s in its shape and size.
